Van Vicker, is a Ghanaian actor, film director, and humanitarian. He runs a film production company named Sky+Orange Production as a chief executive officer.
Early Life – Education and Birth Place
Van Vicker (real name: Joseph Van Vicker) was born on 1 August 1977 in Accra, Ghana, Africa. He is from a Liberian mother and a Dutch father. His father left this world when he was merely six years old.
Van considered himself a resident of the world, as he has been living almost everywhere with his mom. Once he spoke about his relationship with her mom in such words that he is immensely close to his mom due to his dad’s early death.
Vicker went to Mfantsipim School, where he had been with Majid Michel as a Fellow. Later he graduated from African University College of Communication and left in 2021.
Struggle and Career
Vicker started his career in the radio industry when he started work at Groove 106.33 fm from (1999-2000) and Vibe 91.9 fm (2001-2004). He also worked as a TV individual with TV3 Ghana and Metro TV, in 1997 and 2000 respectively.
Later He was cast in a TV series depicting university life, Sun City, as LeRoy King Jr.
Soon Vicker performed in his first film as a supporting character in Divine Love. Coincidently, this movie was also the debut for the film’s main leads, Jackie Appiah and Majid Michel.

Van has collaborated with Jackie Appiah and Nadia Buari as a male romantic lead. Moreover, he also worked alongside Majid Michel and Nigerian Ramsey Nouah.

From 2008, Under Van’s production company, Sky-Orange Production, he has directed and produced five films and also starred in them. However, 2012 proved to be the best year since he earned NAFCA Best Actor and Best Director for his comedy film, Joni Waka.
