Chris Wood first appeared on The CW’s The Carrie Diaries in 2013 as writer Adam Weaver, but Charles is best recognized for his role as Kai Parker in the sixth season of The Vampire Diaries in 2014. After playing 77 performances—including 30 previews—and receiving mediocre reviews, the show concluded on January 8, 2023, with average grosses and attendance. Wood’s second short film, Snowshoe, was posted on YouTube in March 2023. Not only did Wood write, direct, and produce the short, but she also starred opposite Grant Gustin. In March 2021, Wood shot the movie in Whistler, British Columbia, in a single, extended take. 

In the January 2024 television series Master of the Universe: Revolution, which is a follow-up to Master of the Universe: Revelation from 2021, Wood returned to the voice of Prince Adam/He-Man.
