Cengiz Coskun, a Turkish television and Film actor, was born on 29 April 1982. He is best known for his work in the Turkish TV series Dirillis: Ertugrul, as Turgut Alp.

Cengiz was born in Istanbul, Turkey, on April 9, 1982. His parent’s names are unknown however his mother is a housewife and his father is a machine technician. They are ethnic Turks, who migrated from Bulgaria to Turkey. He has Turkish nationality as Emrah and Azra Akin. Firstly, He chose basketball as his career as suggested by his parents.
In his first year of secondary school, Coskun played basketball. He also won Ulkerspor’s auditions and played there for 7 years. Later he moved to Erdemir Eregli Spor and served for 2 years. After that, he gave his 1 year to Balikesir DSI Spor. Coskun graduated from the Sports Department of Marmara University Sports Academy.

Cengiz’s modeling career started when he won a London modeling contest in 2002. Later in 2005, He made his acting debut in the Ruzgarli Bahce, a Turkish series. For his acting skills, he has also been trained by Sahika Tekand. Moreover, he also appeared in the series Candan Ote in 2006, Doktoriar in 2007, and Hicran Yarasi in 2009.
Moreover, Coskun was cast in his first film Fetih 1453, released in 2012, as Giovanni Giustiniani. Once he said that he could not be cast as Sultan because of his blue eyes. Later he participated in a reality show Survivor: Unluler vs. Gonulluler 3, held in 2013. However, he was eliminated after competing in 94-day challenges. Coskun was also cast in the worldwide famous historic Turkish series Dirilis: Ertugrul, as Turgut Alp in 2014 alongside Arda Anarat. Later in 2020, he played the role of Seljuk Sultan Alp Arslan in the film Malazgirt 1071.
