Izmir (Nick Name: Izo Toqi) was born on 29 March 1993 in Shkodër, Albania. He had been training under Gjergj Ruli when he joined the club K.S Tirona. This is where he started his career as a Long Jump athlete in 2012. He won his first prize in the World Championships competition and won 24th (q) in the Long Jump. Since then, he has been up to new records on national and Personal records 8.8m in 2017 and many more. Albania has a huge talent gathered here, including Melisa Lleshi, Capital T, and Luli Bitri.

- With 7.89 meters outdoors in 2018, he won another gold medal at the Albanian Athletics Outdoor Championships and best Olympic athlete of the match, in Elbasan, Albania.
- Another First place in the long jump competition with 7.89 meters outdoors in 2018, won a gold medal and the title of “Best athlete male of the competition” in the Small States of Europe.
Moreover, he has personal best records of 16.30 meters outdoors (-0.2 m/s wind), and 15.15 meters indoors, set in 2016 in Elbasan, Albania, and 2014 in Tirana, Albania. In 2021, two tracks and two individuals from Albania were accused of cheating in Olympic nationals however, Izmir was cleared of allegations of being part of the conspiracies.
